Hellan Strainer

Hellan Strainers remove all types of solids (such as algae, zebra mussels, sand, grit, debris, machine cutting chips, etc.) from various fluids. They are extremely popular due to their reliability, efficient operation and cost savings. Instead of trapping solids like conventional basket strainers (which necessitate frequent basket removal for cleaning), the Hellan Strainer discharges solids from the flow without disassembly. This reduces operational and maintenance costs and permits continuous flow of fluids.

Manual Strainers

All Hellan Manual Strainers are manufactured to ISO-9001 and meet all codes: ASME, CE/PED, Lloyds Register, Navy Mil Specs, and others for industrial and marine environments.  Manufactured in sizes ranging from 1.5 inches to 20 inches in 5 available body styles to match application specific requirements.  All type AH, TSH, DH, QH and HH models are offered in iron, steel, stainless, super duplex stainless steel and bronze.

Single Screen

Available in 3″ model only.  Providing hands-free operation, Type AA automatic strainers employ a single, electric motor-driven rotating screen and a rigid scraper bar to remove solids from the surface of the screen when rotated.

Two Screens

Available in 2 1/2″, 3″, 4″, 6″, 8″ 10″, and 12″ models.  The “DH” Hellan Manual Strainers employ two handwheel equipped rotating screens and  rigid scraper bars to remove solids from the surface area of the screens when the handwheels are rotated.
